Review on 🚗 Hikity Apple Carplay Double Din Car Stereo: 7" Touchscreen, Bluetooth, FM Radio, Mirror Link + Backup Camera & Remote Control Included by Patrick Ordonez

INSTALLATION So I bought a 2008 Honda Fit, the stereo was NEVER changed. The lights were dimmed and I could barely tell the time so I decided to upgrade. I've been looking for something with Apple Carplay and in fact, basic radios with it cost upwards of $300+. I am a do-it-yourselfer and find cheap but high-quality alternatives. I saw this product, read the reviews and decided it was worth it. and I have no regrets! like that . I'm 20 years old and pretty poor and wanted to see if I could install it myself. With some extra tools and research, 3 tries and over 4 hours I did it! (3rd time was a charm haha) Instructions were easy. I would advise anyone like me who is not very knowledgeable about car stuff --- MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT THIS CORRECTLY TO YOUR CAR'S WIRING. The colors are probably not the same lol. I almost made that big mistake. If you don't want to solder the wires/don't have a tool (I didn't have one), you can crimp them using tools from your local auto shop. I also had to purchase a double din dash kit, which you may need to do. But overall, if you do it yourself, you can set this up for just under $180. It's cheaper than buying a single brand Carplay stereo. damn yes. :) Anyway ABOUT THE PRODUCT: The touchscreen is AMAZING! I was expecting some lag, or at least an intermittent response to touch, but it's almost as good as my phone. I'm very impressed with the price. There are many settings that I didn't see in the description. You can change the home screen to your car brand, which I really appreciate. The lighting options are pretty nice. I used to use a car stereo Bluetooth adapter that was draining my battery MORE than this product. I love it. My car turns on and off. The sound is much cleaner (!), and you can change the EP settings :') to your liking. No more problems with unplugging my adapter and deafening my ears with loud noise lol. Carplay is very fast and connects quite easily. I can call people from it and the mic works pretty well. I can listen to lyrics with him and feel much safer overall. The only thing I haven't done so far is using a rear camera, using an extra cable, and viewing images from my micro SD card. Every time I try the latter it says I can't do it while driving, even when parked. But I didn't install a reversing camera, which could have something to do with it. Overall I got the radio to use Apple Carplay so I'd give it a 10/10 for that. :) The radio itself works well too and I personally LOVE the style they chose for it. Very impressed and I feel a great sense of accomplishment with this product! God bless you and I would say do it lol. UPDATE - Microphone for calls doesn't work very well. Unfortunately I have to use the speakerphone. Only works when parking. But when I drive everyone says I sound like I'm underwater lol. everything else is great :)
