As other reviewers have noted, this item does not work with some tanks. But will it help you to know if it works with your tanks? It can be said like this. If your tank's valve pin is hanging over the rim, this adapter most likely will not work - it forces the pin down before the O-ring can seat the seal. If you have access to a tool like a metal lathe to remove the center tab in this thing, however, it can be modified to make it work. You can also use a dremel to reduce the size of the protrusion. In fact, they should just eliminate it and replace it with a set screw so one person can adjust it for each tank. So this is bad design. But it's also cheap. After changing what I received, it sealed well and worked well.
