It helps, I removed the tires that had been leaking bead sealant for years so I could clean and polish the wheels. I chose this one because it's small, portable, easy to store and doesn't need to be anchored to the ground. I used a high torque spade bit to speed up the process. It would take too long with a ratchet, and the standard drill bit isn't strong enough in my opinion. Something I learned while removing a tire that I was planning to replace (thankfully) was that you shouldn't overdo the first few uses with this tool. The pressure point on the tire is tight and if you over tighten you will blow a hole in the tire and render it unusable. So pull it all the way down for the first three tries, and on the next one you can safely break the bead. Also make sure to press the print area against the wheel. However, do not overtighten it or it may hit the rim and leave a dent there. I did it once with no repercussions, the bead doesn't leak so it doesn't matter, it's just not nice for your bike to do that. I recommend lubricating the screws to prolong the life of this device. This is for those who don't do it on a daily basis or for those who need a portable bender. It's not particularly fast to use and not entirely suitable for commercial use.
