Review on ๐ŸŽฎ CKLau Ultra HD 2 Port HDMI 2.0 Cables KVM Switch: High-Resolution Audio and USB Hub for Windows, Linux, Mac, Raspbian, Ubuntu by Jimmy Montalvo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

GREAT price, feature rich but slow toggling

I thought $80 was expensive but once I got it I realized it was actually a pretty good deal as it comes with all the cables includes - and with 4 connectors, that's a LOT of cables! It's very versatile - there are 2 cables per port, an HDMI cable and a mini USB->USB+Audio+Headphone cable. You can receive sound via HDMI if your monitor has built-in speakers or an audio output; or you can use an audio cable separate from the USB cable. You can set the desktop switch (it's a bit annoying that all 4 USB ports + microphone + audio jacks are on the front, so the keyboard and mouse have to be connected facing you. The HDMI output is on the back. ) and press the buttons directly on the device. Or it has a wired remote control that allows you to switch computers and hide the KVM under the table. Or you can use keyboard shortcuts (CTRL 2x + Port # + Enter). My only complaint, and this may be common to all HDMI KVM(?), is that it takes about 5 seconds to switch computers. I'm used to a 2 port VGA KVM that switched in about 1 second.
