Excellent material! - Kitchen & Dining

I have recently purchased this set and several other Neoflam items. Can't tell if it lasts long or not as I've just started using it. This set has slightly different pan sizes than the Midas+ set and I have both. This set has a large sized frying pan and three different sized sauce pots, Midas plus has two pans and two smaller pots, and the Midas Plus lids fit both sets, although I'm not sure about the plastic lids. Storage. I don't think they are interchangeable. i just love her They seem strong and very light. I threw away a few cast iron pots and pans after buying them and I have to say that as a single person over 60 I'm getting interested again in cooking with these very colorful fun pots and pans. I especially like their ceramic cookware, which ranges from microwave to gas burner, fridge, and freezer. If they last for years they make perfect cooking pots and pans and I've been cooking for years :) I'll let you know if and when they run into trouble. UPDATE: This is a positive update, Summer 2017. I've had this dish for a year and a half and I still love it! If you hand wash them very gently and use wooden or silicone/plastic utensils, they'll be as good as new. There are a few scratches here and there but I use this set daily/weekly depending on what I need. Besides this set I have a few other things that didn't disappoint. Please note never use very high heat with it. On medium, they bring water to a boil a little slower than stainless steel, but in a reasonable amount of time. Over the past 6 months I've experimented with several other nonstick pans. (the copper ones advertised on TV were on sale this year during the holiday season) and they can't compete with ceramic non-stick coatings. I'm currently testing "green" pans with a similar ceramic alloy from Costco and they seem to work well too. I love the detachable handles on these pots and pans. At first I didn't think I would like this, but it has turned out to be very handy when there are several pots on the stove at the same time. I've also used them in the oven and they work just as well as advertised. I felt like it was worthy of a positive update in a year and a half, and I'll update again in the future as the need arises, either for or against.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
