Mine didn't curl up when I poured water on it. It has a lot of texture that lends itself perfectly to watercolor. It's quite thick so it can withstand a lot of water without damaging the paper. When working with watercolor paper, it's important to be careful not to apply too much watercolor at once while it's wet; the paper can tear in this way. It also lends itself well to watercolor postcards if you like! I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to watercolors, but I know quality paper when I see it.
