They work, but you need to make design changes. I had to use the 2nd hole from the end. If you look closely there is very little metal left between the new end of the clip and the 2nd hole when the 1st hole broke off. I used scissors to move the 1st hole further away from the 2nd hole to give me more metal on the end of the new end and then filed the corners a bit.
