I'll give these shorts a 4 rating, but they could easily have been a 5 if the production process had been a bit more sensible. As you can see from the product photos and reviews, these shorts have an inner lining similar to a rather long, form-fitting pair of underpants. And it's so long that depending on your height, the shorts can go just above the knees, to the knees, or just below the knees, while the hem of the shorts ends HIGHER. Of course it's "a matter of style" in a sense, but sometimes it looks a bit silly, especially if you're wearing shorts in a lighter color like khaki or green (attached "short" lining is BLACK). Even if you're sitting on a chair or couch, your shorts will (of course) ride up, exposing the long panty lining. This problem could easily be fixed by making the inner lining of the "panties" SHORT about 4 inches in length (perhaps in the 3 to 5 inch range shorter). Thus the lining will not be visible during normal walking but will be visible at other times during various movements. In addition, the shorts are comfortable to wear and the upper material is light and excellent. attached liner, I would rate them perfect. I still recommend them, but my advice, if you buy them, is to buy them in black (which matches the color of the "short" liners) or navy blue to make the liner less dangling.
