Definitely not the most secure lock but folks it costs $15 - you can't expect security from Fort Knox for $15. Advantages: - very portable - light weight - more secure than cable locks. Disadvantages: - very thin chain - simple lock. I live in a fairly safe neighborhood, but bike theft is the most common crime in my town; I use this lock as a light and effective deterrent for temporary bans, such as when traveling with friends. It's long enough to fit two beach cruisers' frames and rear wheels to a luggage rack, but small enough to fit in my tiny handlebar bag, leaving room for everything else I usually carry. I'm staying somewhere for the night. I also don't use this lock if I leave my bike out all day, park it in a place with little foot traffic, or park it in less affluent communities. I have Kryptonite 755 for all these situations, see attached photos to see how they compare in size. The chain is pretty flimsy and the key lock looks pretty basic, but it's still MUCH more effective than a bike cable lock and a better deterrent in my opinion too. For β¬15 I would definitely recommend it.
