Review on Firefly Kosher Eucalyptus Scented Clean Fuel Lamp Oil - Smokeless Bulk 5 Gallons for Longer Burning Efficiency by Monica Hale

I chose this product because it seemed like a better deal than what I used and bought which is Lamplight Ultra-Pure lamp oil. This 1 gallon Firefly Clean alternative oil is only $8 less than Lamplight's 1 gallon Ultra-Pure Paraffin Oil. But given the Firefly brand's claimed longer burn time, it's a more economical choice. Firefly also has straight wax if you prefer, but the savings between the two will be less if you compare wax oils from both companies. I can only give 3 stars "it's ok" and here's why. Mainly because of the slight burning smell when ignited. I have 3 oil lamps and one was brand new and still smells. It wasn't too strong, but more than I could take. The smell, of course, varies from person to person. To be honest my wife can barely smell it while my more sensitive nose can. All in all, this may be the best buy for most consumers depending on how sensitive their noses are. This oil is better suited for use outdoors, in a well-ventilated area, or at home simply because of the stronger odor compared to its competitors. Can I recommend it? ehhh, I recommend trying a smaller size before buying a 1 gallon jug. Cheaper, but not by much. If I had to do it all over again, I'd rather burn Lamplight Ultra-Pure Paraffin Oil instead.
