After purchasing two vacuum chamber beard trimmers and two top brand detachable hair trimmers (no longer available), Hatteker has become the perfect beard and beard trimmer. Hair. I've been trimming my hair (and my beard when I let it grow) for over 10 years. It's incredibly quiet, looks solid, has great battery life and it's great to have a second battery. As for my beard, I usually switch to clippers once my beard reaches about 15mm in length as the beard trimmer struggles with that thickness. Now I have a tool that seems perfect for both. I also trim my 10 year old son's hair about once a month - he is redhead with very thick hair and it works just as well as clippers but no cord to worry about! The 3-8mm dial is ideal for growing a beard, keeping it clean and even, and even suitable for half-mm settings. The only reason for a 4 for "Ease of Use" is the box. I cut off the top and sealed the sides with tape so I could use the flimsy plastic to organize all the heads and appendages. It would be really cool if they upgraded the packaging to a sturdy iPhone style box that also doubles as an organization for all the parts. I really like the stand that comes with it. If you've ever bought and thoroughly used another beard trimmer hair clipper I can absolutely guarantee you won't be disappointed with this one, especially for the price.
