I used to have a 4-in-1 (VIVSF-01) and the product worked as advertised, but every once in a while I have to keep scanning the wall to be sure. Also, with the previous model, you had to hold down the button while scanning, which made scanning difficult at times. The new model (TD100) is great because when you calibrate, you just press the button once and you're on your way to finding studs without having to hold the button longer. The integrated aligner helps you navigate the wall plane and prevents the spirit level from rotating during scanning. I would recommend this new scanner to anyone looking to buy one.
