Bought to replace my old zircon. Came and tested it immediately to get familiar with it. Went for dinner about an hour. Came home to put a new TV on the wall. Then after countless calibrations it stopped working. The metal scanner works fine, inaccurate but good. I even scanned the part of the wall where I knew exactly where the counter was, but the scanner couldn't find it. Will return and return to the tried and true zircon.

I've been using it for 3 weeks now and this product is fantastic! Find out it has more uses every day. The magnet on the bottom and the display showing the angles really saved lives in some situations. The ability to discriminate to within 1/100th of a degree has made this an amazing all-rounder. The display is super bright and easy to read from the outside. It ended up in my tool belt replacing 2 other tools I was carrying. Fabulous!

I have this nail finder for installing a Nest Hello doorbell. The main reason I got this is that it has the ability to scan for AC power cords as I wanted to make sure I wasn't drilling through cords that are in the wall. This bolt finder worked wonders and I was able to find all the places where the AC wires were and was able to successfully drill holes. I used to have a 4-in-1 (VIVSF-01) and the product worked as advertised, but every once in a while I have to keep scanning the wall to be sure. Also, with the previous model, you had to hold down the button while scanning, which made scanning difficult at times. I have used this mandrel finder on several projects and it gets worse with each use. In addition to the lack of directions, multiple walks along the wall will reveal posts that change position and posts with two right edges but no left edges. Reading cables is useless, which I've heard is common with many spike finders, but it's worth mentioning nonetheless.
