Review on πŸ”Œ ECCPP Pack of 6 Ignition Coils for BMW and Land Rover - OE Part Numbers C1239 UF300 UF354 Included by Kenneth Foster

Revainrating 2 out of 5

These coils will not last. Buyers beware: May cause engine detonation.

This kit was installed on my 2001 BMW 530i e39 in September 2015. Less than 3 years and about 30,000 miles later I noticed a distinct knocking noise in my engine and a fuel cut off code for cylinder #3. When attempting to remove the ECCPP ignition coil and part of the igniter they became separated from the lower rubber bushing extension which attached to the spark plug. The liner could not be removed without being torn to pieces and without pulling the spark plugs out of the chamber. The ECCPP ignition coil as well as the spark plug have been replaced with another brand. The vehicle worked fine. Knocking noticed in other cylinders. Pulled other ECCPP coils and replaced with another brand and spark plug. Replaced all spark plugs with NGK G-Power and left 2 cylinders with salvaged ECCPP coils. One of the two remaining ECCPP coil cylinders is still knocking. I am convinced that these coils have caused my engine to lag which may result in further damage. You get what you pay for. These coils will not last.
