Review on 🛠️ Sierra International White Exhaust Manifold Gasket Set 18-4367 by Robert Hayes

These gaskets state not to use other sealants as they contain "Grafton". whatever it is My head and manifold were warped and the paper gaskets were leaking like crazy. I don't know of a better idea for a boat, but money is tight this year. I removed the old header, cleaned it, painted it and sanded it as best I could. I applied a SMALL copper silicon bead around all surfaces, connected the gasket to the head and screwed it in place. If you read the instructions for the silicone, it says that the screws should only be "hand" tightened for an hour while the material cures, and then torqued to specification. No problem. I ran it first for about ten minutes with no leaks. went out to the river, looked good, scattered it at full speed for some time, all is well. I could count my chicks before they hatch but a few good runs and it looks great. I have a 1989 Sea Ray with a 1990 3.0 Merc.
