Ideal for making cold coffee. I just leave the filter on as it's easier to clean and store. The collapsible funnel and scoop are helpful, as are the helpful brew PDFs sent in their follow-up emails. I use 4 cups of cold water for 4-1/2-5 scoops of ground coffee and wait anywhere from 12-24 hours, despite the directions saying 8-12 hours and a medium grind. It's better to put the earth first before the water works. First I poured the first 2 cups of water, but I would prefer to pour all the water at once. I haven't had any problems, but Coffee Gator seems to be a company with good customer service. If I did, I would just reach out to her to sort it out. I contacted Coffee Gator for offers and they responded quickly with a refund or replacement. Some issues arose from the situation I was in and they were very understanding and helpful in resolving those issues, even going beyond what was expected to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. Her correspondence was always prompt and courteous. I was even contacted by the founder of Coffee Gator, who explained, "My company believes in the ability to challenge the status quo. Our aim is to always provide reliable products and exemplary customer service.” I would say they have a great cold brew product and without a doubt have provided exemplary customer service.
