The adapter works as advertised (except for the LED light which never came on). My lenses focus perfectly even on AF-C. Tested on Canon EF 40mm, EF 75-300mm and EF 50mm 1.8. Everything is well focused, later there is autofocus on the eyes. Best of all, the 75-300 also benefits from an IBIS body, so shooting handheld at slow speeds works much better than my Canon body. Tried in low light. Older lenses are a bit of a focus hunter, but the latest 50mm 1.8s were very fast and extremely accurate in focus. My only caveat with the adapter is that you need a docking station to update the firmware, which must be purchased separately. I would be happy to receive advance information. The rest of the free items in the package look good enough and they all arrived well packaged and brand new. I have yet to try some EF-S lenses but I wanted full frame lenses and they work better than expected. Update * I'm deducting a star due to a design flaw. The adapter has a port for updating the firmware. This port is on the right side of the adapter and is covered with a plastic cover. Both are next to the camera grip in an already cramped spot. During use, your fingers constantly rub against the plastic covering the connector.
