Save hundreds of dollars with this product.

Great product! Save hundreds of dollars with this inexpensive tool. This is a must have for every car owner whether you know how to fix cars or not. I have one in the glove box. It's very easy to use. All you have to do is find the diagnostic connector, which is located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Plug the scanner into the port and then turn on the ignition, press enter a few times and BAM, you'll get the codes. Batteries are not required. You can view the codes that caused the check engine light to come on and descriptions. The coolest thing is that this scanner also shows pending codes. So if your check engine light is not on but there is a potential problem, take a look at the pending codes. I think this function is great and will use it the next time I buy a used car. That way I don't have to wonder if the seller cleared the codes as they show up at idle even if the check engine light is off. Clearing codes is as easy as reading them. It cleared a code I had without resolving the issue, but eventually the check engine light came back again, which makes sense. Finally, I saw that there is an option to test I/M readiness, which basically shows if the car will pass the smog test if the systems with the norms OK or Not Applicable (N/A) are on are the market.
