Required to install LED headlight on Ford Explorer 2013

I bought them to give a little more room for the LED headlights in my 2013 Ford Explorer Limited. I could fit the kit into a case with an OEM dust cover, but that would be very tight. These caps offered more room and I think they will increase the lifespan of the LED devices as there is more airflow for the rear fans. The OEM dust covers had to press directly onto the back of the LED blocks, and the wiring could interfere with the fans. That gives me security and also simplifies the installation.
