I bought this "a few" years ago, I wash it regularly in the washing machine and it's like new. It has no hanging threads, it still has its shape and most important. Works like NEW. I have had many different back scrubbers. Ayate clothes, back scrubs with bristles. All of this became useless when I broke my shoulder and arm in multiple places and then dislocated my other arm. Self-care has become a HUGE issue. I couldn't effectively free my back with anything I had. Let me just say that I used to be a skin care consultant and I know a lot of back scrubbers. This is my everything. I like it . This is long enough even if you have problems with your shoulders or strength in your arms. You can still clean your back effectively. Long handles are available. Not only do I use it on my back, it's great for cleaning the backs of my thighs and legs. I love that it's machine washable and yes I even threw it in the dryer when I forgot to just hang it out of the washing machine and it still holds its shape. They have become one of the must-have items when I make a spa basket as a gift. I hope they never stop selling them. The best scrub I've ever had. Easy to clean and lasts and lasts. When mine is finally painted. I will give an update. This review was for one I bought as a gift. Mine is still PERFECT. ********** I just got a tip from a gifted lady, she LOVES IT. She works in a nursery and sometimes comes home covered in mud and sweat. Not only did this leave her sparkling clean, but she said it really helped those tired muscles, it was like a mini massage.
