The product page says the date is set correctly. This may or may not be true. When you receive it, follow the steps to set the date and time manually. Then it will work fine. My watch has gained a few minutes in the last 4 months or so which is less accurate than my last watch which I had to replace because the old analogue radio tuner finally broke me. So I think I have to go through the time setting procedure twice a year. The rest of the device is reliable, the sound is good. I wish the dimmer light was even dimmer because it brightens up my bedroom unless I put something on my face. I LOVE the projector feature because I put my watch away from my bed so I don't turn off my alarm in my sleep and miss work. This allows me to display the time clearly visible on the ceiling when I wake up.
