I bought this selfie stick to use with my GoPro Hero5 and Hero7. This is a really great tripod. Good: The tripod legs are very strong and wide. This means that the tripod is very stable in windy weather or sand etc. The selfie stick extension is excellent. They work flawlessly whether you're wearing gloves or not. Simply twist the stick counter-clockwise, then pull to the length you want to use and clockwise half a turn to tighten. The rod has 3 extension sections so when fully extended it can be about 3 feet long. This was a very nice feature this weekend when my son wanted to take a close up shot of a water snake. Also, the ball joint that the camera is attached to gives you a lot of flexibility in setting up your shot. Bad: not much here. It's a little heavy, and even when fully compressed, it's longer than we'd like. It's not something you can slip in your pocket and pull out when you're ready, which is why I often carry it in my backpack. After several trips with the tripod, the legs of the tripod became very loose. This causes a problem for me when playing with one hand. When the product was new I could open the tripod legs and set it up with one hand. Now that the legs are flexible, 2 hands are needed for installation. This may not affect most people, but it's a problem for me. What could be better: NOTE: This is very specific to me. To have a mount or flex at the top (next to the ball joint) that would allow me to position the camera in different positions. I use this selfie stick when my kids play baseball or tennis games, among other things. I want to set up a tripod next to a chain link fence and point my camera at the hole so you can't see the fence so I can film my kids hitting or serving the ball. Because the tripod legs are so long (remember that's a good thing) I can't get my GoPro close enough to the fence. Some sort of flexible top that I could place my GoPro on right next to the fence would make this selfie stick perfect for me. Overall I am very happy with this selfie stick and would recommend it to anyone. ***UPDATE** * The telescopic arm works like this: you pull it out and then twist it to tighten. The collar of the selfie stick has broken off and no longer holds the camera in the correct position. The extension remains locked, but the camera itself spins in circles. This means that the camera's weight will cause it to spin and fall if you try to hold it. This renders the selfie stick useless when hand-held. So far it has worked great as a tripod. I have downgraded this product from 5***** to 2** as it didn't last long enough.
