As a professional lighting designer, I can say that these devices are fantastic. They look like regular incandescent bulbs but use this unique LED light source (see image) in shatterproof plastic covers designed to look like regular medium base incandescent bulbs. They are also dimmable! I have thousands of feet of traditional bistro lights and we break a few bulbs every time we work; Not to mention many of them don't work or go "super bright". These bulbs and cords appear to be very durable and I think one spare LED per kit would suffice. I just set up the 500ft in the woods on my family farm and have dragged it over rocks and logs with no problem. Incredibly low power consumption is amazing. 100 feet of light for 35 watts! They can also splice multiple wires together and they calculate the length of connector wire so the bulbs are still correctly positioned when you poke them. However, I disagree with their very warm description of the 2700K color temperature. I would say it's more like the 3200K.
