Here are some great cases. I installed 6 of these in a new room I'm building and paired them with TORCHSTAR 4" Adjustable LED Ceiling Lights (ASIN: B00ZU21RRS). Everything went as expected after I figured out how to work around a few obstacles. come with these lights horrible. It's one page (front and back) with some very general instructions that seem like they cover all the types and sizes of cans they make. If you buy 6 packs you get 6 of those useless leaves.I recommend composting them. The only issue I had with these sleeves was that almost every one of them was bent due to poor packaging. You stuff 6 of them into a box that's about 95% the size , which they need.Consequently, the hard drives of the cases rest against the very edge of the box, which is why they all bent in transit, they are easily straightened with pliers, and in the end it shouldn't matter s as this edge will be hidden by your lamp. Having installed 6 of these with 100% success I now consider myself an exceptional downlight. I have a modified instruction set. Please note that I have access to my attic so the order may be biased.1. Grab the circular sticker that comes with this cabinet and drywall saw and toss them straight in the trash. Purchase a 49-56-0300 Milwaukee 49-56-0300 hole saw with recessed light and associated arbor. This allows you to cut perfectly sized holes with clean edges several times faster than with a drywall saw. It's worth every penny. . You will thank me later. 2. Figure out where you want to drill the hole. Make sure the edge of the hole is at least 1 inch from each stud. You can use herd finder to pinpoint location.3. Drill this hole with a new hole saw. It was easy. You may want to remove some of the insulation around the hole if it's about to fall on your face. Remove any clips from your new case. Inside the electrical box is a strip of sticky foam. You can glue this to the outside edge of the glass if you want a tighter seal, but with this hole saw my hole was already tight. Insert the pitcher into the new hole with the electrical box forward. Keeping it flush with the ceiling, begin installing the clips by peeling off the sticky material. This is the part where you swear to all your seven gods that you can't. Here's a clue that took me about 12 clips to figure out. Your goal is not to slide the entire clip INTO the SIDE of the glass, rather you need to insert the TOP of the clip into the slot it goes in. This may mean you really need to push a little and deeper. They just go once you find the right way to push them. Until you figure this out, keep small children out of earshot. As you install each clip, you can press the foam gaskets flush to get a good air seal.6. Now that all your jars are in, go to the attic, pull one of the metal circuits out of the electrical box, and turn on the light. It should be easy. Black to black, white to white, and copper to green. Codes in most areas require you to use at least 12/2 Romex and then nail it to a stud within 12" of the body. Check your local regulations to be sure. as well as the strength to run to the next traffic light in your circuit. They look great and work in my new room. I see myself installing more of these in the future.
