I have shoulder length soft curls (2C or wavy with medium curl). My hair is colored (7NA) as it is almost entirely gray at the crown and little to no gray at the cleavage. Gray hair on top is VERY coarse, textured and frizzy with the slightest bit of moisture. I've been using Potion 9 off and on for almost 20 years, which usually results in me changing my hairstyle. I love Potion 9! For me, the key to beautiful and long-lasting curls is that YOU CAN'T TOUCH THE CURLS WHILE THEY ARE drying! My only remedy is to wash my hair, put Potion 9 on it and then go to bed. I throw my hair over my pillow so I don't lie on it when I sleep, and when I get up in the morning I have a beautiful head of soft, shiny curls that really last all day! If a curl gets tangled at night, I just tuck it in with a curling iron and that's it - no hairspray, no extra product, etc! If you don't like the product at first, keep trying. It takes a little time to find the right amount for your hair. I use quite a bit but it never makes your hair greasy. love love love!
