Review on ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ Squirrel Resistant Bird Feeders: Gray Bunny Premium Grade Steel Caged Tube WildBird Feeder for Hanging Outside - Chew-Proof, Weather & Water Resistant with 4 Perches by Mary Marie

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Rejects protein. It also drives away large birds. The little birds were cautious at first, but now they love it.

Our squirrels literally chewed through the plastic body of our previous feeder to get to the seeds. It took the birds about a week to get used to the cage design, but once they found it safe they didn't skip a single step. For better or worse, depending on your preference, this design also appears to discourage some of our larger birds from eating. Pigeons and Great Blue Jays are forced to search for fallen seeds on the ground. From my point of view this is just great because it has the added benefit of fewer seeds being left on the ground to germinate and which I have to sort out at the end. We saw some squirrels trying to get the seeds. The proteins we have don't fit between the bars. They crawl and hang on to everything, and the best thing I've seen one of them do is stick their hand through one of the holes in the feeder. Looks like he managed to get a seed or two but obviously too much work for too little reward because they stopped trying. that of our previous feeder. My husband has found that he has to refill it every other day or so. Have done this to us for several months - - - in the rain and in the sun. So far so good, but only for a few months. In general, people and birds are very happy with it.
