Review on Conair Interplak Sonic Water Flossing System - All-in-One Kit with 6 Attachments by Jessica Lawson

Great flossing but not great cleaning function

This versatile Interplak All-In-One sonic floss from Conair does a great job at flossing, tongue cleaning and gum massage, but the function of a toothbrush cleans my teeth just not good enough to feel really clean. It comes in a fairly compact box as the device is thoughtfully designed. The large water tank (capacity 800 ml) turns over and closes the device when not in use. I really like this because both the water tank and the control knobs remain protected from airborne germs, which are most common in bathrooms. There is also a small drawer on the front that holds all 6 attachments that are included. To install the device, turn the water tank upside down and place it on the base after adding water or mouthwash (Yes, you can use mouthwash in this device). Install the included battery in the bottom of the handpiece if it is not already installed. Set the front end to its lowest setting and fit the tip you wish to use into the tip tube. Plug in the device and place the tip in your mouth, closing your lips around it. Finally, turn on the device by pressing the button in the center of the dial on the front of the device. Contains 2 soft bristle toothbrush heads, 1 tongue brush, 1 jet brush, 1 subgingival brush and 1 gum massage brush. Tip. Except for the toothbrush attachments, I am enthusiastic about all the attachments. The subgingival tip has a soft silicone sleeve and this tip really allows you to clean below the gum surface. The gum massager also has a soft silicone sleeve with tiny "fingers" so it thoroughly massages your gums. The nozzle tip does an excellent job of cleaning between teeth. You may see bits of food that didn't get in when brushing. It is even more effective if you use a fluoride mouthwash in the tank as it will help prevent tooth decay. The tongue cleaner is made of hard plastic and cleans the tongue well, but I prefer a handheld scraper with a soft silicone scraper blade. The brush heads are very soft and my teeth don't feel as clean as usual. . There's a button on the tip of the wand that says Sonic, which you press to brush your teeth, but it doesn't vibrate much, I don't think. If you're used to a Sonicare toothbrush, you won't like the level of cleaning with the toothbrush heads. Flossing is a messy process no matter how thorough and skillful you do it, but if you do it over a sink, that's fine. The hose that goes from the device to the handpiece is a nice length, allowing you to place the device on a shelf or anywhere else on the counter. The tip has a pause button that you can press to stop the water jet until you can reach to turn the device off. I hate flossing. I think this is a good irrigator. It is well designed and works very well. But it is not suitable as a toothbrush, except maybe for a small child? So you need a manual toothbrush or an electric toothbrush, IMO. There are more compact irrigators on the market, although they don't necessarily have all of these attachments. If this is what you want for water purification capabilities, this is a good choice. If you want this to be a complete oral care solution, including brushing your teeth, you will be disappointed.
