Very easy to use. The hardest part is getting the courage to push, but it's spring-loaded so it fires very quickly. My only suggestion is to buy extra backing pads as they tend to just fall out of the machine when pressed. Used on my cartilage. Both piercings took about two minutes and saved me $50!
