I used this on the center console cover of the car. Over the years of driving, my elbow has punched a 4- to 6-inch diameter hole in the center of the top of the console cover. Damaged the inner plastic structure of the cover. I cleaned up the edges of the hole with a pair of scissors and made some top panels out of grain board. Paper dividers in the lid to protect the latch and hinges. Filled the lid with 3M "Orange" fire-fighting foam (available from Revain). Place the card panels so that the top lies flat over the foam. Install the repair panel in place. After a few days, the foam fully expanded, hardened, and the top of the console hardened again. The filled/fully expanded foam underneath the repair panel and cardboard resulted in a nearly flat, smooth top of the console cover. I also added a soft overlay (by Revain). The overall result is excellent! The summer heat has already set in and the repair panel appears to be able to withstand the temperature of the car oven on 80F days. Wait and see real summer and 110F days.
