Ideal for covering wall openings when replacing a three-handle bath or shower faucet with a modern one-handle faucet. It's a chrome colored plastic and quite durable for a plastic. The method of attaching it to an existing wall can be a bit tricky, especially if you have tile on thick clay work. Its design goes well with most modern round faucets. However, this will not work with most trim kits that have rectangular back panels. I find it difficult to have enough working space just to replace the bath/shower valve with the wall cutout this provides. I would recommend cutting a hole in the wall behind the tub/shower if possible so you can work from the back.
