They are good for short-term drying.

If you just want to remove moisture from your hair this is a great product. If you leave it on your head to dry your hair completely, don't use it. I left the hair tie on for a few hours and when I took it off my hair turned into a tangled mess.

Pros

Easy to use - extended elastic, button and loop. After a bath or shower, roll up into a turban like a regular towel, hook the loop around the button to secure the position. This means you can get dressed, apply makeup, go for a walk and wash while drying your hair without feeling uncomfortable or falling off your headscarf.
