super fast! Updated from Samsung T5 and very satisfied. To set it up as a Mac boot disk, you'll need to read Apple's instructions for formatting it as a GUID partition. In other words, there is an option; You just have to know how to get there! It's a bit pricey, but it's better than opening up your iMac to get a faster boot disk. For comparison I went back to T5 as the boot drive and the difference was shocking. Everything from photo/video editing to overall system responsiveness is faster with the X5. Reusing my T5 as a Time Machine drive. Apple should be confused by the prices they charge for their SSD upgrades via this option.
