I ordered the thick version. Warm (I live in upstate New York, it's November and I'm fine). The bag itself is very soft and fluffy and my little man jumped in right away. He loves pompoms. He feels completely safe there. He's not fully grown yet, so quite light for a cat. I also put my fattest cat in the bag just to try. She is 13 pounds. She didn't like it terribly, but she felt safe there and the bag held her well. As for landing, well. I usually wear a size XL hoodies but based on other reviews I went for a size 3X. They run small so it fits perfectly. The cleavage is definitely a bit odd. It's not uncomfortable, but it does feel like your arms aren't quite where they should be. Overall I would like more colors because it will have many uses!
