I might find a use for them in other projects; but while they seem to fit the pins just fine for my two current projects, I found that at least one of the pins came loose when I returned to pick up the project. And I'm not talking about putting the project in the knitting bag for a few hours or days later. I'm talking about leaving the project for 10-30 minutes or so. I use circular needles, perhaps the tension on the needles will help loosen the snug fit. I won't risk using them now because I've already lost too many stitches. And they're big enough to get in the way of my little dogs if one of them eats one of them. I'm very careful with my regular stain protectors but they don't fall off. They are just too unreliable and I'm afraid one of them will find their way onto the ground within reach of my dogs.
