These rivets work just as well as anything I've used. As with any brand, it is important that you install and squeeze/pull them properly for them to function properly. Using my thin metal (sheet metal) rivet nut specialty tool, I usually set the rivet, loosen my tool a little, and do it again carefully to make sure it's tight. If it's tight I don't need to squeeze/pull it again, but if I can pick up the slack easily then I do so until it feels crisp. In a typical sheet metal application, I crimp each one twice. In the attached video, the metal sheet is actually folded in half from below, making it thick enough to take just one shot. Hope that helps!
