I bought both this vest and the Nathan VaporHowe 4L to train and race 3-15 miles. Both have 2 x 12oz bottles on the front and lots of little pockets for gels and groceries. The VaporMag has a medium sized flat pocket on the upper back and a medium sized zippered pocket on the lower back. The VaporHowe also features a medium-sized, flat pocket on the upper back, a long vertical pocket along the back for a water bladder (instead of a zippered pocket), and a horizontal pocket along the lower back (for jackets/poles). I'm keeping the VaporHowe and returning the VaporMag because the Howe is more functional as it has everything the Mag has except for the zip pocket, bladder plug and jacket option. Also, the mag straps feel weak. They are stretchy and I can already see they won't last long.
