Lightweight and roomy in the Outdoor Recreation category

This is an incredibly lightweight device with plenty of room for your phone, a lightweight jacket, 24 oz. Water, iPod, fuel so very handy. Drinking straws take some getting used to and you really have to move your head a bit. No problem if you usually drink like me. These are bite releases, so if you're used to cotton and an open spout, it'll take some practice.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Bladder Not Compatible

I swore I read that a 1.5 liter bladder would fit in the back, but it doesn't (I've tried). Revisiting the site, I'm not the only person who seems to have read this as per the questions. It fit well enough, I deviated from the sizing chart provided, but I really wanted something that would hold the bladder in the back. Unfortunately it has returned.

Size is taken into account

Many people mentioned that it would be advisable to go down a size, but as I wear xxs it wasn't possible to go down. It turned out to be fine because being just a hair taller than 5ft the buckles were lower than I measured and fitted perfectly. I must also say that the customer service was excellent. I emailed them about the problem with the water bottles and they sent me a replacement very quickly.

Make sure you order the correct size.

I love this vest. I just tested it on my long run a day ago. I wish the size of the product could be described better. I ordered S because of the size recommendation and the small is too big. Flasks bounce a lot when full. I tightened the straps as tight as possible so the bottles sit squarely on the chest and not the sides as shown in the picture. Overall the vest is very comfortable and holds everything you need during your long runs. Soft Flasks make running easier without the weight andโ€ฆ

Fits better than my other vest Nathan

Turns out I need x-small. I already bought another one of these, a small size (slightly different version but almost the same) and it rubbed me pretty hard. I'm not super-duper small either, so even an X-Small would be too big if you're a tiny person. It's too hot to wear anything over a running bra so the skin there is in contact with the vest. . You'll need to tighten the straps to ensure they don't move and sit high enough to not (or minimally) touch your skin. The 12 ounce bottles areโ€ฆ

Disappointment: Hydration Packs

This vest is simply good. I'm glad I didn't pay more for it because I would have sent it back. It's true that you don't feel like you're wearing a vest. There are two pockets on the back. One has a zipper and the other doesn't. There are side mesh pockets of an unusual shape. I would never dare to put anything in these pockets because they are quite short in some places. Bottles are good but one leaked on first use. Finally, the front pockets aren't big enough to fit a phone or whatever whenโ€ฆ

Good race vest but weak straps

I bought both this vest and the Nathan VaporHowe 4L to train and race 3-15 miles. Both have 2 x 12oz bottles on the front and lots of little pockets for gels and groceries. The VaporMag has a medium sized flat pocket on the upper back and a medium sized zippered pocket on the lower back. The VaporHowe also features a medium-sized, flat pocket on the upper back, a long vertical pocket along the back for a water bladder (instead of a zippered pocket), and a horizontal pocket along the lower backโ€ฆ
