Review on 🔥 Kidde Hardwired Smoke Alarm with Lithium Battery Backup, Interconnect, Test-Silence Button, Pack of 2 - Smoke Detectors by Tim Harrington

First of all the alarm is great, easy to install and lasts 10 years. Hooray! Second, and this falls under "You must be kidding me!" The mounting instructions state that for aesthetically correct wall mounting, the "A" line on the mounting plate must be level. Basically, this is the only way to mount a mounting plate on a commonly installed round electrical box. However, the mounting tabs on the alarm are positioned so that the resulting position is rotated 45 degrees from the "aesthetically correct" position. I haven't found a way to fix this. Good alarm but aesthetically ugly.
