One star because it almost cost me my phone. A screw is hidden under the concave rubber fitting to the ball joint. It wasn't factory tight and on my first ride my phone fell and missed it by a couple of inches before I could get it out. Pull out this rubber mount and check the screw. Once tightened it becomes a great phone holder. Very durable materials, good grip on the bar. Holds my large phone in an Otter case (6 1/5" x 3 3/8") Update: I received this response from customer service: Dear Robert, I am very sorry about the negative experience with your bike rack. We had a batch with the problem you described. It looks like a lazy worker just didn't tighten the screws enough and so unwittingly sabotaged the entire process of assembling the items he was dealing with. Please rest assured that we have already fixed this issue for our future products. In addition to additional quality control procedures, we have started adding a special adhesive to the screw that makes it impossible to loosen once screwed in.
