High Reviews for a ball?

I never thought I would add a review for a ball, let alone one that was going over the top in praise for one. but here I am. Haha. Anyway, this ball really has been great. We bought it for our 1 year old, and our nanny also liked it so much she bought it for her dog (can't remark on how well it has held up for the dog, as I have no first-hand experience on this one). What I can say is that for our child, it is lightweight and easy to grab. It is durable in that when we step on it, it easily squishes but then bounces back to shape with no damage. It's non-marking so when it is thrown against things like the wall it doesn't leave any marks on the surface. It's also light enough that when our child throws it against things like a vase, it bounces off and doesn't knock the vase down. I am sure that this won't be the case for every throw against a vase, but the point is that it is light enough that it's a fairly safe 'in the house' ball with general safe handling. I never thought I'd write such a good view about a ball, but here I am doing just that. It's really a nice product.

Pros
  • Perfect to teach child to hold things. Mine tries to put it in her mouth, unsuccessfully.
Cons
  • The toy may not be able to provide enough sensory input for some babies
