Review on Bovee WMA3000B Wireless Interface Integration by Scott Yenson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I now have a new Bovee WMA3000B and it was working great until the audio distortion returned this month.

So here is my story with the Bovee WMA3000B Wireless Bluetooth Music. I bought this device early last year when I first got my BMW (it didn't have bluetooth and wireless music was a must for me). I used this device for almost a year until I started having problems with audio distortion. I called Revane and asked for a replacement, which I did. I now have a new Bovee WMA3000B and it was working great until this month when the audio distortion came back and was annoying me. Frustrated as I was, I bought a Firefly Bluetooth music receiver as a good alternative, with the downside that unlike the Bovee, it doesn't have steering wheel controls. After installing Firefly in my car today, I realized my silly mistake was that the iPhone's volume was always at 100% when connected to Bluetooth. I played around with it and found that the sound distortion was related to the volume balance between the iPhone and the car stereo. I've found that the audio on the iPhone starts to distort at around 77-80% of the volume. Now I'm bringing the Bovee back as the audio distortion is gone and I can use the steering wheel controls to switch music again (also my car will show what song is playing on the head unit which I appreciate). Thank you Bovee for making such a great device for those of us who don't have a proper Bluetooth car stereo.
