I bought this for my 2.5 month old kitten to take to the vet. Needless to say, every time we took her there, she ran away. There are many zippers for little paws to zip the front with a door and around the opening as well as the back. It also has a zippered top lid. A little pressure on him and your pet is out. She escaped twice in a car and twice to the vet on the way there. I ended up having to buy a cardboard carrier from the vet. If you have an escape master like me I wouldn't recommend this stretcher. I replaced it with a hard case from Walmart, the hard side works great.
