Recent cataract surgery. The doctor prescribed bifocals, which are OK for distance and reading, but my computer screen falls in between the two strengths. I wanted to try computer glasses without spending big bucks. These are OK. The reading part is fine, and the middle/computer part is pretty good, but the top/distance part doesn't work well for watching TV (and I'm usually sitting on my laptop at home, alternating between the internet and looking up to watch TV). This is not a fault of the glasses, just of my eyes' prescriptive needs, so if your needs match the glasses strengths, I'd say try them. The frames are a bit large for me (female) and not something I'd necessarily wear in public, but they give a large enough lens area to be able to see each different area, unlike one pr of readers I have that are so narrow I can't read a page without having to move my head.
