Cup not included. only warmer. There is a warning that the upper middle section is heating up. But not only that. . . . The floor also heats up and heats up your table (or where you place it). The table doesn't get very hot, but quite warm. I have been using another heater for over 20 years. Both work a little differently. I like that the heat is adjustable. . . .But. . my "old" kept the coffee hotter than this one. My "old one" was "on" when you put a cup on it. . and "off" when you removed the cup. It will turn off automatically after ten minutes if you don't take a cup. It has a "timer" to turn the heating off in one hour increments from 1 to 12. . .but. . .if you don't install it. . . it will turn off automatically after 8 hours. WHAT IS TOO LONG. So... . General . . . I prefer my 'old' heating pad for a number of reasons, but they are no longer made and I can still work with this one. Also note that the instructions are incomplete. This shows, for example, that the heating pad only has two modes. . .but it actually has three modes. There is also no information about the timer. This heater is made in China and sold on Revain by a Chinese company. At the current price of $27; it's at least twice as expensive as it should be. But it's definitely better than some of the other similar items I've seen.
