Very happy to add this item to my lighter kit. As others have pointed out: yes, it needs to be refilled regularly. Contains a small amount of butane for the size of the flame and can use slightly more than piezo burners. This lighter simply feels good when lit. Every movement of the flint creates a concentrated yet fierce flame that can be easily controlled with the dial located on the bottom. The best part is switching the full version - like I said, it feels like the right thing to do. The stone wheel hits with the perfect amount of pressure - not too hard, but not wobbly either. Looks solid and seems to think it will last longer than those plastic gas station lanterns. I was actually looking for a quieter burner and although it's not as quiet as I expected, I really liked it. A new favorite in my collection and honestly this is a decent flashlight for less than $10 - check it out. You can dig too.
