Used on 2000 Ford Taurus SE-S. The car originally had a long stainless steel exhaust, but because a previous mechanic had previously cut it and welded on another muffler (it rusted years later), I had to figure out how to get a new muffler without welding on it. I cut the pipe and put it straight on. (I used nickel anti-seize around the inside ends of the fittings to keep them from slipping and possibly loosening in the future!) I also bought a Walker 21386 muffler and everything snapped into place fairly easily. Anyone can do this. Be sure to buy some clamps, the rubber connectors are reusable.
