I just bought a new motorhome and needed to add a solar charge like I had installed on my old motorhome. I was a little skeptical when I bought this solar charge controller as I usually try to stick with USA made products. I often get the best service and quality from American companies and the best guarantee. After looking at the cost difference between a Chinese made product and what I paid for my first "American product" solar controller, I realized what the heck! I'll try. And I have to tell you, I'm impressed with this 30 amp MPPT charger! On the roof I installed exactly the same two solar panels from 7 years ago with 140 watts. I actually put the same (3) 105 amp hour deep cycle batteries that I just bought on an old RV about 6 months ago into a new RV. So I'm pretty much apples-to-apples, except for the new wiring using the same 8 AWG wiring as the old install. The only major component that changed was the solar charge controller as the old one wasn't designed to be placed with a separate dash and I couldn't find the perfect spot for it. In short, this EP Ever 30 Amp MPPT charge controller charges better than the old one with the same solar panels. The old controller was also an MPPT controller but the best I've seen was around 8.5 amps with very low batteries. I've seen up to 12 amps charging with this new controller using the same (7 year old panels). It goes through charging as it should and if left on it properly cares for the batteries and sleeps and wakes up properly when the sun comes up like it should. I'm doing tons of deep forest or desert camping and how long does it take? I'll be happy to watch the evening news or a movie without starting the engine. :-) Only suggestion: make sure you buy the NEGATIVE floor model if you are in the US.
