Review on Enhanced Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter - Linksys WUSB600N by Tim Pulse

Plug N Play: Power Adapters

First let me say that 1 star ratings seem like buyers who don't know what they are doing. Provided the latest drivers are installed. downloaded no problem with this product. I only had a few dropouts while playing before updating the drivers, but I was also using an atts 2wire modem at the time, so many of the variables were still at play. After that has been said. Bought mine at BestBuy for about $80 for over a year, money well spent. Before I bought this product I tried a Netgear PCI card which was a big mistake I had many problems with it and the NETGEAR customer service representative spoke so bad English that he insulted me, called me and was an idiot, when I had trouble understanding what he was saying. This product was plug and play and if I needed Linksys customer service (which is available 24/7) I would get an assistant that made me feel fulfilled after I hung up. It only took me 10 minutes to connect the included software. straight ahead. Install the program, accept some terms, click Next to install the drivers, and in about 2 minutes you're done! Comes with the flash drive itself, a USB cable attached to the stand that you can connect to, the length is about 4-5 feet. This is great because it doesn't require cramming the back of your computer with bulky gadgets and antennas like most other USB network adapters. Pros: N-band is great if you have the right modem/router that can use it. A blinking green LED lets you know when you're connected Portability You can take this anywhere and use it on any number of devices as long as you install the drivers and also a very handy USB cable and stand as it allows you to moving the antenna around Space to some degree to find the optimal signal Looks good, not square and ugly Nice brand Cons: The price is a bit higher than we would like. But you pay extra for USBILITY. It's about 87 degrees in my house right now and the unit feels hot, it's not exactly a problem but it could be in any harsher environment. for my bad grammar :)

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
