My 2014 Jeep Patriot seems to have lost its heater. Looking a little closer, I found that the under-dash heat pipes were very hot, but I noticed that the faucet door mechanism didn't move when switching from cooling to heating. Simple solution. Simply remove the 2 Phillips head screws and disconnect the wiring harness and the old motor will pop off instantly. Note that you will need to transfer the plastic lever from the old motor to the new one, but it's not difficult. Overall, this was an easy fix and saved me $125 in merchant fees.
