I have this on my desk above my bed, I have a work computer and my home computer and it comes with nice short cables with USB connected to one cable because the computers are close to each other. The push button switch is the only part that "points" and responds quickly when switching computer peripherals. There's also a button on the device itself to toggle if you don't want to use the USB switch.
